My name is Bianca Pino. I am a natural hair model here in Houston , Texas. I attend cypress lakes high school. I am hair type 4a I believe , and I’m a mixed baby. I am mixed with African American and Puerto Rican.
How long have you been natural?
It’s hard to say because I transitioned for 2 1/2 years.
What motivated you to transition? Were you a transitioner or a Big Chopper& why?
I used to wear relaxers. I got my first relaxer when I was about 7 or 8. The reason I decided to transition was because I went to get a relaxer and it didn’t take. YIKES! I didn’t want to cut my hair because I was in love with it which is also why I didn’t do the big chop.
What has been the most memorable part of your journey?
The most memorable part of my journey is just watching it grow. Has it been easy or difficult or both?! Hmm it has been both easy and difficult. And I say that because my hair is extremely thick and I had to learn to take care of it the CORRECT way.
What are some of your favorite transitioning hairstyles?
My all time favorite transitioning style has to be braid outs. Braid outs are everything to me. I don’t like the result of a twist out on my hair so I do braid outs.
Any memorable reactions from family or others?
I have had no bad experiences actually. Everyone I have come encountered with tend to love my hair because of the size of it.
What is your hair regimen (including fav products)?
In the morning mist my hair with a mixture of water and leave in conditioner i have put in a spray bottle, fluff and go. At night, if needed, I seal it with Argan oil and put it in a big plaits and put a satin cap on.
What are some of your favorite natural hair websites,YouTuber’s, or blogs?
My favorite youtubers would be Taren Guy , Neffyfrofro , and FrenchyFatim.
