Book Cover 1

Who is Princess Curl?

My daughter does not like to wear her bonnet at night. Whenever she sees her bonnet in my hand, she immediately says in her 2 year old voice, “I can’t want a bonnet!” After much pleading I finally secure it on her head only to find it on the floor in the morning.

Ananda Pearl is my inspiration for my children’s book “Princess Curl.”

She’s a fun loving little girl with a head full of wild curly hair. In this story, Princess Curl learns the importance of wearing her bonnet at night. What happens when Princess Curl refuses to cover her curls before drifting off to sleep? Join Princess Curl, Mommy, and the Fairies on this adorable journey of learning to care for your beautiful, marvelous, fabulous hair!

This story is one in which all little curly princesses can relate. Written as a poem, each page is accompanied by amazing pictures illustrated by my husband Rhys Shelton. Your little curly is guaranteed to enjoy!

What is the most important lesson you want to teach your daughter about her beauty, hair, and self-image?”

The official release date for Princess Curl is June 10, 2014.

I want my daughter to know how to appreciate and cherish herself wholly and holy, by seeing God in every physical aspect she is blessed with.
