Hey!!! My name is Sydney, but In the social media world I’m known as Posh_Syd :). I’m a 26 yr old Brooklyn native, but I currently reside in Pennsylvania. I love food, fun, natural hair and all things fashion!!!

How would you describe your style ?
I would describe my style as “Affordably, Effortlessly Chic” if there is such a category lol

How do you decide to wear your hair In the morning?
My morning hairstyle is always determined by a mixture of a few things: the weather, my mood and my #ootd …. If the sun is shining and I’m in a great mood, I tend to wear brighter colors and opt for a nice twist out. If it’s gloomy and I know I have a long day ahead of me, I wear a mixture of colors ( lights and darks ) and I’ll top my fro with a fedora or I’ll go with a simple puff.

What are your favorite wardrobe pieces?
My wardrobe is so diverse and ever changing so at any given moment a particular piece can be my staple!  Right now I would have to say my staple pieces are shoulder bags (or any type of bag) and sunnies(shades). My wardrobe wouldn’t be complete with them!

Where do you typically shop for clothes and accessories?
My favorite places to shop are H&M, Forever21, Zara and American Apparel. I am also a big fan of thrifting because you can find some hidden gems at the thrift store. What catches my eye when shopping is the “sale” sign lol . Once I find It I then go through the racks and see if I can score a good deal, if not I move on to the other “vibrant” sections in the stores as a I love colors.

Let’s talk hair. How long have you been natural? What is your normal regimen?
I am 21 months post relaxer (last relaxer was September 2012) and my big chop was April 2013, so I’ve been completely natural a little over a year. It was the best decision ever!!!
My current hair regimen consist of shampooing every week and a half with a deep conditioning treatment during that same time. I also purchased a hair steamer to be sure I get the best results from my deep conditioners. I spritz my hair with a spray bottle filled with oil and water everyday because my hair has low porosity and gets dried out VERY quickly. I clarify my scalp once a month with a vinegar rinse.



Do you have a signature hairstyle?
My signature hairstyle would be a twist out! It took me a while to master the art of the twist out, but once I did, it became my go-to. I love it!

How does your natural hair work with your style?
My style has always been described as “fashion forward” but once I decided to go natural I did start to take more risk. My style now is definitely more reminiscent of the “natural ” me, free spirited , outgoing and funky but yet still very chic 😉

Are you working on any ventures that we should know about?
I just started my YouTube channel in April of this year : YouTube.come/Iamposhsyd.  So I’ve been working on that. I wanted to introduce all interested to my life and what I’m passionate about. So you will find videos of hair tutorials, fashion, makeup , self love and everything in between. I’m just getting started but I have so much in store, so if you are for that you should subscribe! 🙂  I’m also considering starting a website/blog !
