How long have you been natural?
I have been natural my whole life, as a child I always wanted to have straight hair like everyone else . My mother refused to give me or allow me to put any chemicals in my hair that would change its natural texture and that at almost 20 years old I’m thankful for that .
How would you describe your hair?
I would describe my hair as “Hair who has its own mind” my hair decides what it wants to do , sometimes I have days where I can’t stop taking pictures of myself because of how good my hair looks that day and other days where it’s up in pineapple which is also my favorite go to style.
What is your favorite hair style?
My favorite hairstyles actually depends on the season in the fall/winter and depending on the weather in the spring I love to visit Bien Curls, my local hair salon, to get my wash and sets and big curls , and for the hot days in the summer I love to wear twist outs,wet and gos and my favorite up do the pineapple which look great with a pair of big hoops.
How do people react to your natural hair?
Recently in the month of March I’ve decided to go a few shades lighter in the blonde family, I’ve been dying my hair blonde since I was 14 but I wanted something bright this year. I will be 20 soon and I always use my hair as that big change in my life. I’ve been getting nothing but compliments on the color; I have always gotten compliments on my hair itself, but because this color works for me so well an isn’t very common I find that people love it .
